Furthermore, contains everything needed to support the micro-controller. Simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC- DC adapter or battery to get started. 
 
Arduino UNO

Arduino Mega

UNO's big brother. It has 54 digital input/ output pins, 16 analog inputs, a USB connection, a power jack, and a reset button. As Arduino UNO, Mega contains everything needed to support the micro-controller. Simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC- DC adapter or battery to get started. The large number of pins facilitates in handy for projects that require a bunch of digital inputs or outputs.

First development board to use one micro-controller with a built-in USB. Cheaper and Simple. Board is handling USB directly, code libraries are available which allow the board to emulate a computer keyboard, mouse and many more.
